VDNH and the State Darwin Museum announced on their websites the holding of an all-Russian exhibition of contemporary art dedicated to flowers, entitled “The Multicolour of a big country”.
Date and venue: 10 September — 13 October, 2024, VDNH Floriculture, Pavilion 29.
The exhibition presents paintings by artists from different cities of Russia. Their works are like a “floral kaleidoscope”, each with its own unique “author’s interpretation”.
In each painting, you can see not only the aesthetics, but also the philosophy of the author. They can take the viewer back to childhood or their native places. Some of the works are so realistic that it’s like you can smell the flowers. Others are executed in a conceptual manner to give the work a deeper meaning, not limited to a simple identification of objects.
The large-scale exhibition will introduce professional artists of Russia from Kamchatka to the Crimea.
